Why Pay Bills on Time

Paying on time makes everyone happy.


Margie Miss America was living her dream, always paying her bills on time. Excellent credit, with no bad reports to the credit bureau, never a worry about how to repair bad credit, no calls from collection agencies.

Now lets see what happens to Margie Miss America, if she is unable to pay her bills on time. Due to the possible loss of her job. How will she pay her bills on time? Will she go to collections, or have bad credit. Is there a possibility of her going to bad debt counseling?

Margie Miss America was very upset one day her friend Sallie asked, what is the matter Margie are you ok? Margie replied I heard a rumor at work about possible layoffs, I am scared of loosing my job. I don't know how I will continue to pay my bills on time and protect my good credit if I lose my job; my credit report has always been spotless.

About three weeks later, Margie fears were realized, she was laid off. The only thing Margie could think about was how will she pay her bills and not ruin her credit. Now collection agencies will be calling me she thought. What will I do? The only thing Margie could do was cry until she could not cry anymore. Sallie pleaded with Margie to pull herself together.


For as long as Sallie could remeber Margie had always paid her bills on-time, why would she even think of being sentenced to bad credit, collection agency, credit bureau prison? Was Margie not telling the truth about her payment history? Was she really paying her bills on time? Her friend sallie was determined to find out.

Margie Miss America called her creditors and explained she might have trouble paying her bills since she has been laid off. And her living expense are now about half of what they used to be. The first creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her. The second creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her.

The third creditor Margie spoke to pulled up her payment history and complimented on paying her bills on time each and every month, then set up a new payment plan with her. After Margie spoke to all of her creditors, she was feeling happy having made new arrangements to continue to pay her bills on time. She was so excited she called Sallie, and thanked her for the advice. Since Margie, had never missed a bill payment, it made her feel ill, looking for work, and not having a job so she can pay her bills on time. Three months later Margie Miss America found a new job, and now she knows again what is feels like to pay her bills on time again.
